Facebook Invite for Four Calls for Submissions

The World of Threads Festival is inviting proposals for local artists to organize and curate their own exhibitions, or to propose an installation of a new or pre-existing piece.

All forms of fibre-related work are acceptable. This includes installations that use actual fibre, or those using fibre inspired techniques in their work. We encourage fibre exploration in installation or performance.

This is an opportunity to provide exposure for emerging, mid career or established artists to showcase their work in this unique Canadian fibre arts festival.

THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!

Two Options for Submitting a Proposal

For Existing Artwork or Installation

For Currently Non-Existing Installation

Fees for Proposals

Please pay close attention to the fee structure.

Note:  No proposal will be accepted until payment is made

Submission Fee: $30

For each Proposal submitted there is a basic non-refundable fee of $30. This covers our costs and time for processing the submissions. If you would like to submit another Proposal, you may do so, by paying an additional $30.

Independant Projects Fee: $150

Because we are a not-for-profit organization run by volunteers and we don't have the revenue of a gallery, we need to charge exhibition fees to run a festival of this scope. Instead of having high submission fees, we are instead charging only the artists who are actually selected to exhibit.
