The Salon des Refusés (Salon of the Rejected) was a historic event created by Napoleon III in 1863 to exhibit controversial works rejected by the Paris Salon. Works not selected for a juried show may be exhibited for additional education and enjoyment.
In this tradition, applicants whose work has not been accepted to the Common Thread 2009 will be invited to participate in the Salon des Refusés. Applicants should submit work to Call for Submissions.
